What is form EX-15?
Form EX-15 is the application for a Foreigner Identity Number (NIE), a unique personal identifier assigned by the Spanish administration to foreign nationals who have economic, professional, or social connections in Spain.
The NIE is essential for opening a bank account, buying a home, getting a job, registering a car, or carrying out many administrative procedures in Spain.
The NIE is not the TIE: it's just a number, not a residence document. The TIE is applied for with the EX-17 once the residence authorization has been approved.

Form EX-15 is the official application for a Foreigner Identity Number (NIE) in Spain. It is a unique, personal identifier needed to carry out practically any procedure in Spain: buying a home, opening a bank account, working, registering a vehicle, or meeting tax obligations.
